Giveaway Time!

It's giveaway time at Sew, Mama, Sew!

I've got two. The first - Patterns! A Portabellapixie dress pattern and Heather Bailey's stacking baby toy pattern.

The second: three half-yard cuts of some Christmas-y fabrics.

What do you have to do to enter?

Leave a comment telling me your favorite holiday treat. My favorite would have to be spritz cookies - batch after batch and I can't get enough of them. But I'm also a fan of caramels and Russian tea cakes and now I'm starting to miss baking with my mom, so go ahead and comment away. One entry per person please. Giveaway is open until the 17th. Winner will be announced on the 18th and I'll ship on the 20th. Deal?

Awesome. I'm so excited!

My favorite Christmas treat is hands down Christmas Crunch! You take two sticks of butter and 3/4 c of brown sugar and boil on the stove for 3 minutes. Then you pour that wonderful mess over a sleeve of saltine crackers that you laid out. Let it set for a minute and sprinkle a package of chocolate chips on top and pop in the oven for a few minutes to get the chips soft. Then you spread the chocolate around and let it cool before you eat it. That is if you can wait for it to cool.

My favorite holiday treat is a fabulous date-nut cookie. It's kind of messy to make. You have to split a date (sticky), cram a pecan half in it (usually breaks), then cover it in a wet batter, bake and then frost with a lot of a butter and powdered sugar frosting. Lots of work but oh so good!
